Los Altos Hills
|
Los Altos Hills was incorporated in 1956 and originally drew residents away from the San Francisco fog belt. Sited in the western hills with expansive views of the San Francisco Bay, residential properties are on one acre minimum lot sizes. There is consistent building of significant and expansive homes on many neighborhood streets throughout the Hills. The Town of Los Altos Hills protects the area’s lush redwoods, oaks and native vegetation and many residents are drawn to the Town because of its valley and Bay views, the many recreational activities in the area, and the accessibility to all of Silicon Valley to the south as well as to San Francisco about 40 miles to the north along I-280. Served by the Los Altos School District, resident children enjoy excellent educational opportunities. The Town of Los Altos Hills is served by the Los Altos School District and the Palo Alto Unified School District for elementary and middle school and the Mountain View/Los Altos Union High School District.
