Menlo Park

Menlo Park

At the turn of the twentieth century, Menlo Park was a summer home destination for wealthy San Franciscans. Located just north of Palo Alto, Menlo Park is the southern-most community in San Mateo County. Primarily residential with an abundance of oak trees throughout its neighborhoods, the down town area around Santa Cruz Avenue features a wide selection of shops and fine restaurants. Considered a quiet but delightful city, the upscale community of approximately 35,000 citizens features a good public school system and a number of private schools as well as Menlo College. There is a wide variety of residential neighborhoods reflecting the range of homeowners both in longevity of home ownership and socio-economic levels. Menlo Park enjoys close proximity to the Stanford campus and features a public path directly to Stanford lands.

Elementary schools and middle schools are part of the Menlo Park School District and the Las Lomitas School District. Menlo Atherton High School is a member of the Sequoia Union High School District. For information on individual school district school scores, visit  http://www.greatschools.net
